By using the table below together with the scale as indicated on your drawings, you are able to convert plan lengths to slope lengths.
Example
My roof plan drawing indicated a scale of 1:50 and a pitch of 35°
a) Scaling from the ridge to the gutter line at 1:50 indicated a
measurement of 3650 mm.
b) Multiply 3650 by the 35° calculation below (1.221) gives a
slop length of 4456 mm.
